Company Autopilot · an open field test
I’m building companies that don’t wait for me.
The companies should handle the routine work after I close the laptop. When something truly needs my call, I get one clear question on my phone. Then I can see whether the job actually finished.
01 / THE PROBLEM
A company can look automated and still wait for one person.
That person was me. Every unusual call, broken workflow, client request, unfinished draft, and production decision eventually climbed back up the company until it reached my laptop.
I could hire more people or add more agents. I would still be the person giving them context, answering questions, and checking whether the job actually finished.
The goal is simple: work keeps moving, and people still make the decisions that matter.02 / THE OPERATING LOOP
Each company gets its own lane.
KaiCalls is one lane. Agency Client is another. Each lane contains every job that keeps that company alive: sales, customers, product, marketing, money, and the daily problems in between. The diagram below shows how one job moves inside a company lane.
A post going live, a customer email, a production change, or money leaving the account waits for me.
The result gets checked against the public page, live product, or original request.
03 / WHERE WORK COMES FROM
The work starts with something that actually happened.
Every job starts with something that actually happened: a customer called, a product broke, a client asked for something, an idea became worth sharing, or I made a promise. It then goes to the company that owns it.
04 / THE COMPANY LANES
Autopilot has to run the whole company.
Answering one call does not put KaiCalls on Autopilot. KaiCalls also has to keep leads moving, help customers, fix the product, improve sales, and know whether the company made money.
KaiCalls
The whole company keeps running while I am away.
- What it handles
- Calls, new leads, sales follow-up, customer support, product bugs, billing, retention, and revenue.
- What happens while I am away
- Kai answers the phone, follows up leads, supports customers, fixes the product, ships improvements, and watches the numbers.
- How I know it worked
- Customers get help, leads move forward, product problems close, and the money can be checked.
Agency Client
SEO work keeps moving while I am away.
- What it handles
- SEO research, content, website changes, client questions, approvals, releases, and follow-up.
- What happens while I am away
- The company takes the next SEO or website task, finishes the work, checks the live result, and updates the client.
- How I know it worked
- The client can see the finished work and the original task shows exactly what happened.
Kai CMO
Marketing keeps going without rebuilding the plan every morning.
- What it handles
- Research, ideas, writing, filming, editing, approval, publishing, email, search, ads, and reporting.
- What happens while I am away
- Research turns into useful work. I see the finished piece when a decision needs me. Then it gets published and measured.
- How I know it worked
- The work is live, the link opens, and the next plan changes based on what people did.
05 / JOBS INSIDE THE COMPANY LANES
KaiCalls / call handling
The phone rings after hours.
Someone calls after hours. Kai answers, figures out what they need, and sends the business a clear next step. The opportunity keeps moving without me.- 00:00A customer calls
The phone rings while the team is unavailable.
- 00:03Kai answers
The caller speaks to someone instead of reaching voicemail.
- 01:12Kai understands the call
He gets their name, what they need, and whether the business can help.
- 01:34The right person gets the handoff
They receive the caller’s details, a short summary, and the next step.
- AfterThe team can play it back
The recording, notes, and delivery are saved.

KaiCalls / product repair
A product problem appears while I am gone.
When KaiCalls breaks, I should not have to organize the investigation. The company lane finds the cause, prepares the fix, releases it safely, and checks the live product again.- ReportStart with what the customer saw
Use the real error and the steps that caused it.
- FindSee where it broke
Check the live path before changing code.
- FixChange only what broke
Test the smallest fix that solves the problem.
- ReleasePut the tested fix live
I approve the production change from my phone.
- CheckTry the same action again
The job closes when the product works for the same steps.

Kai CMO / publishing
A useful idea becomes published work.
This is one job inside the Kai CMO lane. It starts with a useful idea and finishes with something a customer can actually see.- SourceBegin with something real
A customer question, shipped feature, search gap, or recorded idea.
- MakeTurn it into the right format
Research, script, write, film, cut, and review.
- DecideShow me the finished piece
One phone card shows the work and where it will go.
- PublishPut it in front of people
My approval sends it through the existing publisher.
- LearnCheck the live link
The result helps decide what to make next.

06 / BUILDING THE NEXT COMPANY
I want the system to build the next thing that makes money.
The Money Affiliate Factory looks for offers and builds sites around them. Hackathons turn one idea into a working product. Then the system has to find customers, deliver what it promised, and show me whether the idea made a dollar.
KaiCalls · Agency Client · Kai CMO
Money Affiliate Factory · Hackathons · ABP · New products
Commitments · Cash · Notes · Backups
The first companies
- KaiCalls
The full company: calls, leads, customers, product, sales, retention, and revenue.
- Agency Client
SEO and website work moves from a new client task to a finished result the client can inspect.
- Kai CMO
The full marketing company, from finding the idea to publishing and learning from it.
The next sources of revenue
- Money Affiliate Factory
Finds offers and builds pages meant to earn affiliate revenue. It has earned $0 so far.
- Awesome Backyard Parties
A real local-service business that still needs a reliable path from a new lead to delivered work.
- Affiliate operations
Find an offer, build the asset, bring in buyers, and prove the revenue in one connected flow.
The next companies
- Hackathon factory
Takes one problem and tries to turn it into a working product. The latest run failed.
- VocalScribe
The product exists. It still needs a repeatable way to find customers and serve them.
- New ventures
An experiment earns more attention when it can find customers, deliver value, and show the numbers.
The company underneath
- Meetings and commitments
What I promise becomes owned work instead of disappearing into notes.
- Finance and reporting
The numbers come back in time to change the next decision.
- Notes and research
Voice notes, transcripts, and research stay available when a company needs them.
- Backup and recovery
A failure does not erase the company history.
KaiCalls, Agency Client, and Kai CMO have to get through a normal day without me. Adding ten more businesses before that would give me ten more things to babysit. Once those three can handle the day, I can reuse the same setup for the affiliate factory, ABP, VocalScribe, and whatever comes out of the next hackathon.
07 / WHAT REACHES MY PHONE
I get one finished decision on my phone.
When finished work is ready to go live, I get one card showing the work, where it will go, and why it is ready. Approve sends it once. I can leave it alone and that job will wait.
I am free from handing out tasks, checking dashboards, and translating status updates. The rest of the company keeps moving while one job waits for me.

08 / WHEN SOMETHING BREAKS
Fix what you can. Bring me the decision you cannot make.
Retry the call, restore the page, or roll back the change when the next step is clear.
Tell me what happened, what you tried, and the decision you need from me.
A publishing problem should not stop KaiCalls from helping customers or Agency Client from finishing client work.
09 / THE DAY I AM TRYING TO EARN
My laptop stays closed for eight working hours.
This only counts on a normal working day. Real work arrives, several lanes move at once, and my phone stays quiet until a decision truly needs me.
- I leave
The companies watch for new calls, tasks, and problems.
- Work moves
A call is handled, the cause of a product problem is found, and a client request moves forward.
- One decision arrives
I can inspect the finished thing and answer from my phone.
- The result is checked
The system opens the live result and adds it back to the original task.
- I come back to receipts
What finished, what is waiting, and the links I can open to check both.
10 / WHAT HAS ACTUALLY WORKED
A few jobs have finished without me. A full day hasn’t.
So far, KaiCalls has fixed one live problem, one client task reached done, and one post went live from a phone approval. That is promising. I still have not left for a full workday and watched everything keep going.
KaiCalls production recovery
A missing database field broke customer setup. The fix went live, the setup flow worked again, and the original issue was closed.
Client task delivery
One client request was finished in its original task. The final file was downloaded again and matched.
Approved content publication
A six-slide KaiCalls post was approved from one card, published, opened from a logged-out browser, and recorded.
Open the live postThe company-wide promise
The full eight-hour computer-off day still has to pass. A few finished jobs do not prove the whole company can run.
Agency Client and KaiCalls each finish real work. At least one thing I approve goes live and works. Every action that needs my permission gets it. My phone shows me decisions and leaves the management work to the system—for one full business day, then most weeks.
11 / AGENTIC MARKETING IN PUBLIC
Agentic marketing, with the wiring exposed.
A content bot makes drafts. Agentic marketing notices a useful customer question, makes the right piece, asks for my judgment when it is ready, publishes it, checks the live link, and learns from the response.
I am publishing the diagrams, failures, working examples, templates, and short courses so marketers and operators can reproduce the pattern inside their own companies.
